The following pictures are from the town of New Harmony Indiana, the site of two of America's great utopian societies. New Harmony is located in southwestern Indiana on the banks of the Wabash River. For additional information on New Harmony go to their website www.newharmony.org. We stayed at the New Harmony Inn and Conference Center (recommended). The Red Geranium Restaurant is a very nice restaurant with a good wine list. We ate dinner there two nights and both times the food was delicious and the service great. The restaurant is non-smoking. Smoking is allowed in the bar, but it is in a separate room. The town has many historical sites and some interesting works of art, among them the trees that are woven into the pattern shown.

There is a small lake behind the Inn. It was a nice walk in the afternoon after lunch, or in the evening after dinner. The bridge goes across a small creek leading to the lake.
