Over the Easter weekend we drove to Atlanta and stayed at the Evergreen Resort in Stone Mountain.

The traffic in Atlanta is horrid, but once we got to the Evergreen, things were great. The only complaint we had at the Evergreen was the food at the restaurant. MRE's are better. We did some walking on the trails in Stone Mountain.

We also drove to one of the suburbs of Atlanta for dinner and to look at some shops that you can't find in Middle Tennessee. (No surprise there). We ate at McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in Dunwoody. We recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. They will prepare the food the way you order it. This is a concept the restaurants in Nashville should try.

Mall, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant offers the freshest seafood in
northern Atlanta. Regional specialties and classic seafood entrees are prepared
using fresh ingredients and served in timeless presentation.
After dinner we went to the Container Store. That is a treat if you have never been there. All sorts of neat containers and storage ideas.
This was a nice weekend retreat for us. We could stay in Stone Mountain park and walk, bike, and just chill. We only left for meals. Atlanta has some great restaurants. We will try others on our next trip there.
We can recommend the Evergreen as a place to stay. They may have improved the quality of the restaurant. If not, good restaurants are not far away.
